Lactation Room

The Psychology lactation room is located in McGill Hall Room 5143. Psychology department members and affiliates may request to reserve use of this room. The room includes a table, chair, lamp, and shelving.

A 1.7 cubic ft refrigerator and pump (Medela Pump, Style Advanced) will be kept in the room for shared use. Only the pump is provided – users are expected to have their own accessories (tubing, etc.).The closest sinks for use are the 5th floor mail room or women's restroom.

Reservation Process

1. Check the department lactation room calendar for availability (see below). Only one reservation may exist at any specific time.
2. Set up an event in your own calendar client. Include your name and the duration of the reservation. Note: for your privacy, the calendar is set to show only free/busy (your name will not appear on the public calendar).
3. Add psych-lactation@ucsd.edu as a guest or invitee for the new event in your calendar; this will add your reservation to the lactation room calendar.
4. Confirm that your reservation is reflected in the lactation room calendar. You may need to refresh the page for your reservation to appear.
5. Please stop by Stacy Trac's office in McGill 5221A at the time of your reservation to check out a key to access the room.
